Our Activity (PT MCI)
PT Methane Capture Indonesia is a leading service provider for carbon credit developers in the waste sector. We deliver technology-based and innovation-based solutions to support efficient waste management, enabling significant carbon emission reductions. Our services are designed to support global sustainability and ensure every project delivers a tangible positive impact on the environment and society.
Our core project is converting waste, specifically liquid waste, such as Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME), into biogas. This approach has two main benefits:
1. Reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions: By utilizing biogas, we can reduce GHG emissions measured in tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (). This is a crucial step in our efforts to curb global warming.
2. Creating Carbon Economic Value: This project is in line with government regulations (Presidential Regulation No. 110 of 2025 concerning the Implementation of Carbon Economic Value Instruments and National Greenhouse Gas Emission Control) which allows us to provide additional economic value through a carbon credit trading scheme.

An experienced professional with over 27 years in natural resource management, geomatics, ecology, and forestry. He began his career as a GIS specialist for field surveys and forest management, and has held various key positions, including Vice President Director at Hatfield Consultants Indonesia. Currently, he serves as President Director of PT Methane Capture Indonesia (PT MCI), leading the company's initiatives in methane emission reduction and sustainable waste management with a focus on innovation. Under his leadership, PT MCI has become a pioneer in creating a greener future.
Director of Finance
Over 30 years of experience in Audit, Finance, and Accounting. He began his career in an accounting firm before moving to the national forestry industry in East Kalimantan. Currently, he serves as Finance Director of PT Methane Capture Indonesia (PT MCI), leveraging his expertise to support sustainable waste management initiatives and methane emission reduction. Committed to environmental sustainability, he focuses on solutions that positively impact future generations.
Technical Director
An experienced professional with a strong background in engineering and project management. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Sumatra (1994) and a Master's degree in Management from the University of Riau (2007). Throughout his career, he has held key positions, including Project Manager at PT Panca Surya Energi and Project Engineer at PT Inti Karya Persada Teknik. Currently, he serves as Technical Director of PT Methane Capture Indonesia (PT MCI), leading the development of innovative and sustainable waste management solutions through technology-based initiatives.
Director of Business Development
A young professional with a background in political science and government, Aldiego is currently focusing on agribusiness. He successfully built a palm oil derivatives trading business through PT Alta Alam Abadi and founded PT Buana Karya Samudra, a maritime transportation company specializing in the transportation of palm oil derivatives. As a person directly involved in the palm oil industry, Aldiego understands the importance of innovation in increasing economic value. He believes that carbon initiatives not only help protect the environment but also represent a future source of revenue for the Indonesian palm oil sector.

- Emisi gas rumah kaca (GRK), sering disebut dengan karbon dioksida (CO2) yang dapat menimbulkan terhadap lingkungan adalah pemanasan global dan perubahan iklim.
- Proyek pemanfaatan biogas ini dapat mengurangi emisi GRK yang dihitung dalam satuan ton karbon dioksida ekivalen (CO2e)
- Selain itu, dapat memberikan nilai ekonomi tambahan melalui skema pengurangan emisi GRK (kredit karbon) yang sudah ditetapkan pemerintah (Perpres No.98/2021 tentang Penyelenggaraan Nilai Ekonomi Karbon)
